I alway had problems with the tires moving on the chrome rim, had marked them and after a few races the wheel moved about three inches, the bassetts never did that, Bassetts are not the truest rim though.

If the chrome wheels have chrome on the bead, you might need to rough up the surface to keep the tire from sliding on the rim. Always had painted wheels before, but I heard that hitting the bead area with a wire brush wheel on a drill or grinder is enough to help. My car came with chrome wheels, so I will be trying this out in the near future.

So what are the differences then from the Aero wheels to the Bassett wheels?

When I had the modified, the 15 inch wheels both companies made were pretty comparable. It sounds like both of these are rolled rims. Aero makes a spun rim wheel, but it will probably be too light for the wheel/tire weight rule.
