Anyone using the rubber mounts allowed by INEX and where do you get them?

Thanks,
Robert

Robert some guys are using them but I'm not. If you send your motor down to get rebuilt I was told they come back with them. I don't know if that is true but that is what I was told. I was thinking of trying them when I pull the motor.

We just bought a 1250 and it didn't have any mounts in/on it. Was thinking of getting them. Seems to mAke sense if it cuts down on the vibrations\harmonics the motor produces.

Robert,

I've not seen anyone selling the rubber mounts. I was wondering if something like the stock engine mounting rubber or something from a snowmobile might work?
Just a thought.

Anyone using them? Be great to have some back on them to know if they're worth the effort. Thanks to everyone that posted.

By the way..........Happy New Year!!

They were blowing a bunch of motors and thought that that the solid mounts could be part of the problem. So after a round table with some engine guys they thought they would give it a try like the stock mounts. I was told that they are putting them on the new motors. I don't know about the rebuilds. I was told all of this by someone close to the mother-ship so if there is some inaccuracy I refuse to take the blame....... ;). Have a great and happy New Year.

Yes n they are blue hard neoprene material. We ran them on two cars in 2012. They worked fine. was there any advantage?  Cant verify that there was, I will say I totally agree with the theory of the mounts. That is really one of the reasons they added the kick up supports. Both of these add ons were to reduce twist and harmonics to the engine. For the cost its worth it!

we have used them ever since they came out, and we could not  really tell if they really helped or not, but we did win our season championship for 2012 in the legends division at meridian speedway in the #02  zub racing  34 ford sedan with the sealed 1250 with these mounts in it .. we love them..
our dealer has them yes ...and so should yours .. thanks

My question is would they change your set up at all. If the motor is moving it would seem that it would change something. Maybe not.

No they will not effect the set-up of your car.  No changes are necessary.

These are shaped exactly like the aluminum bushing used on the left side, I have not seen a mount for the right side yet. The right was suppose to be a  rubber spacer betwen the factory mount and the chassis. Whenever I try to upload phots it says the file is to large, not sure why.
