I've gotten $7 each for used shims.

Retail from Yamaha is $14.45 each, best price I've found from a Yamaha dealer is $9.51, but they charge you 10% of your order in shipping, ie: you buy $500 worth of valve shims that would fit in a $4.95 USPS Priority flat rate box, and they charge you $50.00 shipping.

Anyone use Procycle? or K&L shims?
I found them surfing the web http://www.procycle.us/hotcams/valve_shims.htm
They offer a starter VALVE SHIM KIT 25mm diameter - Includes two valve shims of each size 2.30, 2.40, 2.50 2.55, 2.60, 2.70, 2.80, 2.90, 3.00, 3.10. 20 shims in total.  From K&L
For $108.95
And refill kits of 5 shims per size for $24.95 - that works out to about $5 per shim
