Ford sedan rear window

Are you allowed to cut the center section of the rear window on these bodies to make one large rear  window?  I have seen this but want to make sure before cutting mine out on my new body.

I cut mine out and have been to several national events and they have never said anything to me about it. I don't know if that makes it legal but I don't see it to be a advantage.
