drain plug leak

Curious if any of you have had any trouble with a leak around the drain plug? I am going through a used car I bought and it is leaking oil around the plug. It had a nylon gasket around it, I was going to change it to the fiber type.

I use the copper gasket, they seem to last longer (havent had to replace it in 3 years) but are soft enough to give a good seal
