What happened at the Track last night?

Just wanted to start a topic so everyone could tell the rest of us what happend at your local track the past weekend. Love to hear the storys. I went to a USARacing Pro Cup Race at New Smyrna Speedway. It was a 250 lapper that was a pretty good race but I'm ready to get home and get my season started.

Only 5 cars showed

We got rained out and cold weather, but our first race of the year was last week end and we had 15.  There also was 3 others that did not have there cars done or were out of town, so not bad.

Had my first practice of the year yesterday and was pleased with how the car handled.

I dont think we're going to make it to any Beaver Dam practices, but for sure Oshkosh

The only ones there were myself and DJ, Mike Mueller with 2 of his cars, Jeff Lechinir, Mark Ritger and i believe also Kevin Schutz was there running in a different car from last year.

Kevin bought a different car this winter, I think one of Don Gillham's, but I'm not sure.

Vern, We need to help get PW some more tracks with the Klascar Series. If he had 20-25 races thats all we would run and nothing else because he is a great promoter and doesnt take any crap.

We definitely should hook up to go down to East Lincoln though, Steve Beck told Paul that if we come down with a good amount of drivers he will talk to the track promoters to try took hook us up with Carolina Speedway on Friday night and East Lincoln and Saturday.

Todd, I might be interested in a double down in NC if the timing was right. Let me know and that would be a fun weekend. For now I'm planning on running ODS for a few weeks. I figure about mid season I will switch everything back over to dirt. I plan on making the trip out to the Nationals in October.

Scott are you planning on the two races may 28/29 one of them is a qualifier ?

I doubt it Vern. Both those tracks are a long ways for me and I haven't looked at what I have going on then. I'm going to run two races and have a friend of mine take the car to the track because I will be at Ft. A.P. Hill doing some training. I just hope everything works out so I make it up for those races.

We are going to run the qualifier in Michigan @ Crystal Speedway, if we have to then maybe that will be the only time we will be back at the CPA Series because if its a qualifier I will put in a request to US Legends that they send an certified official from INEX to the race.

Scott, We can only fit two cars in our trailer but if possible you could hook up with Vern to fit two in his then we could meet up and convoy down there. If we could get two more good people Paul could talk to Beck about the dates and getting two races in one weekend. When do you think you could head down there?

We are not going to Path on Friday, I am going to run our spare car at Bethel on Saturday and Paul is going to help me plus another guy who we set his car up for him.
