Who's all going?
-
Unless VMS Motorsports is going to shell out for my flight there and back, I won't be going.... ;D
Maybe someday they can have this race more centrally located rather than on the far east or west coast. But I won't bet on that happnening any time soon.

Yeah, sure Mark.
Have Dano pay for you
-
Wow, where's the love.
-
I think it would be great if they could have all the Nationals at the same time at the same place.
Would bring more cars to each class with guys that run both and currently only pick one Nationals to go to.

Wow, where's the love.
You going Vince?
-
If it were down south, you bet. But Vegas.......nope.
-
Anyone going?
-
I'll be there! I decided not to race myself but I'm gonna be there helping my buddy.
-
I will be making the trip from across the pond to get my US Legends experience.

Has a USLC National Event ever been held in Canada?
-
Not in the ten years I have been doing this. It is held so late in the year that the weather would be a factor. Kind of like holding it in Minnesota...LOL

USLC has held a national event in Canada, it was at Barrie Speedway in Barrie, Ontario. The event took place in either 2002 I believe, LOL I was there but I can't remember the exact date. Although they held this event they still had the normal Asphalt Nationals in the U.S. There was only three people to travel to Canada and all three were from N.J one which was me.
I just started racing Legends that year and we didn't know very much at the time. While we were there I remember having a few Canadian drivers and D. Krentz come up to me and tell me that I needed to replace my clutch because it was slipping. I told D. Krentz that I don't even know where the clutch is at, LOL. So he went and got parts for me then showed me how to replace the clutch.
Throughout the weekend the speedway held all these cool events, some that I have never seen before. During intermission they had spectators bring their personal cars out and do one lap drag races around the track until there was only one left. The guy who won was called the "Pizza Guy" because he was a local pizza delivery man. Another kid had a brand new car and slammed it into the wall. They interviewed him and he said "I don't know whats worse having to explain this to my dad or the insurance company."
The main Legends race was 50 laps with all divisions combined. I ended up spinning coming off of turn 4 and smashing both my front and rear all up. I come off the track and my father tells me I am done until a few Canadian guys come over and throw new bumpers on my car. I ended up coming back through the feild to finish in the top fifteen and 3rd in semi pro. If you won your division in the event you had a provisional for the U.S Nationals that year.
To this day I still think that has been one of the coolest races I was able to attend.
