Set up and engine

I have a bando race Friday at Langley speedway need to get 2 seconds faster we run a 14 clutch rule and a 55 is the lowest sprocket we can run need HELP any tips would be good

Sent your Dad some info and asked further questions... Never got replies to my last couple of emails. Thought perhaps you got everything worked out and did not update the original thread.

I was not aware that you had a gear rule also. Still have heard no news as to the age or condition of your engine. Best I can tell you for now is to get the engine tuned as best you can, reduce whatever friction (brake drag, tire srub, etc...) that you can. Try to keep your RPMs up and stay off the brake.

Engine is also brand new it's only has two races run on it and is in good condition

We put the fuel vacuum line where it's suppose to be for restricter plate and still we didn't get faster  I think it's in the gearing because we have the camer and caster and toe set up pretty good

Even though the engine is fairly new, recheck your valve lash. After a few heat cycles it will change. Keep up on regular valve spring changes too. They seem to wear out (get weak) rather quickly. Perhaps the heavy duty valve springs may help in that department.

anything
