Title: 1/8" Colored Pop Rivets
Post by: mtr#8 on December 18, 2007, 11:03:58 pm
Does anyone know where I can find some 1/8" pop rivets with colored heads (red, specifically)?  You can get the 3/16" size pop rivets in plenty of colors, but I can't seem to find any 1/8" pop rivets in any color other than standard aluminum.  I am looking to replace the small interior sheet metal rivets with some colored ones.

Thanks for any help.

When I did my car, I spray painted the 3/16 rivets and it worked out great.  Just find a piece of cardboard and poke them in and then spray the nail end.  That way you will have exactly the color you want.  My rivet gun didn't scuff up the heads or anything.

I like BBACK58's idea best.  It's not a lot of work, just an hour lead time, and you have perfectly color matched rivets.  Lets face it, even if you're putting in 30 rivets, it doesn't take long to poke 30  rivets through a chunk of cardboard and give them a quick spritz with the spray bomb or gun.

That's what I'll be doing for sure.
