Title: New Oil Cooler
Post by: chadvarner85 on December 20, 2012, 07:48:30 am
I was checking out the new oil cooler system and this might be a dumb question but what is the Heat sync top end cooler, and what does it do?

Not sure if you looked at the add I have on e-bay or not? This is a tubular finned cooler, you will route your top end oil line from the engine in one end and from the other end you will run a line to the head. There are alot of these on the market, Fluidyne is the first one I have seen that has built it  with the fins actually continuing through the tube to the inside. The engine oil flows through the tube and the heat is dissipated through the fins. We used one made by Afco and it works very well, this Fluidyne one is way better. I hope this helps and I hope you were able to see a picture. Everytime I try to load a picture on this site it says the file is too large, not sure why?

Couple of questions

1. will it fit on the old mounting system

2. can you post the link to the e-bay add. I can't find it.

Thanks

I am sorry, **** Racing Junk*****  lol not E-bay, again I am sorry about that. The heat sync does mount to the standard bracket from USLC. The new Fluidyne cooler requires two L barackets thats are super simple to make.  Add 2878836, I hope this helps!

Just bought this cooler, would you happen to have any pics of the way you mounted it with your own brackets?  Gonna build my own brackets, but feel like I am over engineering this........

Thanks
