Ok, I'm planning on going to the Bowman Gray race on August 1st (I know, and yes I expect damage). Anyway my gear sheet says it's a 1/4 mile and I should run a 3.30 or 3.33 gear. But then I heard that some people may run a 3.42 there? There seems to be a big gap between the 3.30 and 3.42, which brings into play a 4.10?
I have the gears in question but I really, really don't want to change gears at the track the night of the race.
Does anybody have any experience as to what the best gear to run really is?
Thanks!

I run a 3.33 but I am thinking about the 4.10. We tried a 3.42 in one of our friends cars and he was hitting limiter too soon but he has the big black box that no one wants. I know some of the guys with the red boxes run a 3.42

I won the semi pro race in 2012 running a 333 with a legal sealed 1250 motor
I would say a 342 is too much off the corner and all it will wanna do is spin the tires
That track and that race is the most fun I have ever had in a race car and I've run everything from legends to open wheel mods on a 5/8 mile track
