It is official.
2014 Dirt Nationals will be at Rolling Thunder in Ararat, Virginia
-
A lot closer to home, but know a bunch that can't make it considering its the same weekend as the World Finals in Charlotte. Maybe next year. :-\
-
I had never heard of this track and looked it up on google maps. I can't find any info on it either. OH well probably wont go unless Vern lets me drive one of his cars.... hint, hint

Maybe they just don't update their website anymore, but there is no 2014 schedule posted, last update was November 2013. Maybe they have switched over to Facebook or something instead

there is plenty of youtube videos of it, just didn't see any with a Legend.

-

-
You know how those asphalt guys are about giving their cars a nice "hillbilly makeover"
-
Are you going Jim ?
-
It doesn't look like it this year
-

-
Just wrote both kids tuition checks last night :o
-
Sorry, but after last year's experience at our local track, I won't be attending such an event in the future. Have more fun racing on a regular race night.... ;D

After talking to a few drivers in Crossville TN last weekend it sound as if the track has been closed and still is. It will be un mothballed for the Nationals.
October 4th Crossville TN, I would suggest running that race instead of the Nationals if you can only do one, awesome track and a really nice purse.

They have had weekly results and videos all year long. It is not closed. I think people are looking at the old website. It's Rolling Thunder Speedway. I think its previously was called rolling thunder raceway.
