Title: What radiator for CBR1000RR ?
Post by: Designeer on March 12, 2017, 11:42:53 am
I built a radical 720 pound quad motorcycle for the street, the stock Honda CBR radiator will not cool it enough, it reaches 270 degrees in 1 mile and the engine temp light comes on.  I need a super wide but not too tall radiator, Legends cars similar so I thought I'd ask you guys.
Please help.

Legends cars use an air cooled engine (Yamaha fj 1200 or a 1250cc sealed version).
I do know that the Dwarf car guys use a Honda Civic radiator. Here is a link to one on eBay.

I hope that helps you.

Steve,

That link has a 9" high x very wide radiator that I think will work, I can't thank you enough because the pricing is so good :-)

Then, as a bonus I see they have these cool red hoses I can buy, very cool as well  :-)  Thank you.

I gotta say, in general, I've never been a big fan of quads or the 3 wheeled can ams, But I really like what you have built there!
