Title: Auburndale gearing
Post by: Plumcrazy on January 12, 2012, 10:07:53 am
Hey all!  I was wondering if anyone has run Auburndale and could point me in the right direction for gearing there.  I understand we will run the smaller "flat" area of the track.  1/3 mile or so?

Thanks!

Adam

There isn't really any flat part around the bottom of the track at Auburndale.  The track is a 1/4 mile. http://auburndaleracing.com/trackinfo.html

I've never been.  That's why I was asking.  It's a long haul down there and we're not going to get any practice.  Figured I'd try to at least get in the ballpark then have some options on gear.  All I was told was that we wouldn't be on the banking.  We run on a 3/8 track with a fair amount of banking.  Gear rule, restrictor plate, air psi limit, etc. to slow the cars down.  So we have limited experience on other tracks.
