Title: Torque Setting
Post by: KK300622 on November 03, 2007, 03:52:31 pm
Could someone please tell me a recommended torque setting to use when torquing wheels on a Legends Car?  Thanks.

Thanks, I was thinking 90 - 100 foot pounds was a good setting but I wasn't totally sure about it.

Hello, The studs are metric, 12 x 1.5,  they should be torgued to 75 foot pounds.  1/2 studs are 100, and just so you know those old 7 / 16 studs are 65.  Those specs are from when I sold wheels and tires for years.  The makers on the studs, wheels, and tires had those settings.....

Thanks,
Dave, Northern Ohio Legends

70-75  here in So. Cal

Use to go up to 95 and was ruining rims, threads and lugs

65 foot pounds is more than enough.
