Title: Rev Limiter
Post by: Joe_Racer45 on November 23, 2009, 09:47:47 pm
How use full is it I just got mine in the mail today and installed it.  I was just wondering if it was useful or if it more less boggs the motor down.  Or is a INEX/600 rule to use it.  How much can these motors take 6k 65k.

Thanks for any help.

Rev limiter must be hooked up as per INEX rules.

Is there a better one to use or does it have to be an inex approved one.

When all else fails, consult your handy rule book:

21. REV-LIMITERS: All competitors must compete with a
rev-limiter that is correctly hooked up and in use at all times.
No quick disconnects may be used when hooking up the rev limiter.
The rev-limiter must be wired into the toggle switches
as delivered by 600 Racing, Inc.. The rev limiter must remain
stock (maximum 5,600 rpm) as currently provided by 600
Racing, Inc. No modifications are permitted to the rev-limiter.
If the rev-limiter does not work due to improper wiring or
bad connections, the driver will be disqualifi ed.

Make sure it is wired correctly and has a good ground.  They will act very strange with a poor ground.  Here is a link to a wiring diagram:
