Title: braided brake lines
Post by: cr125 on March 10, 2015, 05:58:59 pm
Hello , I am trying to replace my rigid brake lines with braided lines and I have two questions. What fitting to use out of a 2 port aluminum master cylinder (10mm)? and what size AN fitting to use 3 or 4? Thank you

most master have 1/8 bsp fittings, much same as the wilwood brake bias etc. I have always stuck with 3AN hoses so i could utilise sprintcar, speedcar hose kits. lightweight kevlar was in my old car and new modlite runs the nylon hose with crimp fittings.

Thanks for your help, i was thinking that i would have to use a metric thread on the master cylinder  and wanted to order new lines.

I know some will argue, I am not a fan of the braided lines throughout the car. Too much flex and movement.

agree with Dennis. Flex lines aren't for use throughout.
