I'm not sure if I need a rack rebuild or can I just do something myself. Its the older style and the l/s is solid with no movement. The right side has about a 1/4 inch of play. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Yes, you can rebuild it yourself if you really know what you’re doing. However, I would highly recommend that you send it to Mike Gwantley at CMG Motorsports as he is an expert at rebuilding them, has all the necessary parts, and does the work at a fair price. Hope this helps!

You can rebuild it yourself, if you have the ability to press the bushing and hone it to the proper size.

FYI, depending in where you are located, there are a bunch of us that rebuild racks. I'm in California if that is geographically to you.
