So what is the story with shock lengths being different side to side? Do they come this way from 600 Racing?
My car was used for oval so I understand the purpose, yet on the US legends page it does not show different lengths being available. Are we allowed different lengths?

65. SHOCKS: All Legends Cars must use INEX (logo stamped Bilstein) shocks as currently delivered by U.S. Legend Cars International for use on a Legends car.

I am road racing and would really like to have the same shocks from side to side. If at all possible.
Recommendations?
VMS or RPM????
Appreciate all the Help.

The shocks are all the same length. They are not different from side to side.

Mine are.
Maybe 3-4" longer on the left side.
Well looks like I need to buy a new set..............................

Maybe someone put a Bandolero shock on the car. I don't have one of each to measure at the moment, I would be gald to measure them when I get home next week. As I remember I think there is about 2" difference.
Using Bando shocks is not legal although you may use Bando springs (8") or Legend springs (10"). When using the Bando spring the locking ring that locates the shock adjusting collar must be moved.

Interesting.
I will take measurments of mine when I get down to the track.

If it was one I would think that maybe the shaft is bent keeping it from extending, but both is kind of strange. A couple of years ago there was someone on Racing Junk advertising illegal shocks. Wonder if maybe the shocks you have were tampered with at some point. Regardless of what is wrong with them, sounds like you will need a couple of new shocks.

Could have the wrong shocks (and/ or springs) to fit current INEX rules. For road racing, you would want both sides the same. Check the shocks and the free height of the springs and make sure they are the same. I am using 10" springs on both sides on my cars. You could use 8" as there is not as much travel involved in pavement racing. My reasoning... The 10" springs allow for a more centered shock as far as travel is concerned.

Are both of the clips that hold the spring cup located in the same position?

Yep, I will be taking them off Saturday to get actual measurments on them. I am sure that I am going to need a new set. :(

One of the legends dealers should be able to tell you what the correct part number should be on the shocks.
