Title: Changing Seat Positions
Post by: Grimace on November 23, 2014, 12:06:22 am
Hey guys. Me again with a quick question. How much effort is involved in changing the seat location? I get that these are bolted down for safety, as opposed to a sliding rail like on a passenger car. So say I wanted to share the car with another person who was considerably taller or shorter.

I also realize that the steering column isn't exactly readily adjustable. But can anything be done in a reasonable amount of time?

I'm just wondering whether it is unrealistic to switch the seating arrangement on a friday night for a saturday track day with a different driver, or even doing so between a morning and afternoon session.

I put a seat in a car yesterday for a friend and it only took about 30 minutes with belts installed too. If you use the same seat and just have two sets of holes it could be done in 15 minutes and the wheel adjusted up and down is easy. Back and forth is a whole different ballgame
