Title: Carb Install Question
Post by: N4Racing on April 17, 2013, 11:11:19 pm
Another newby question for you guys!

My car was delivered to me without the carbs installed.  The carbs came yesterday and I cannot get them into the seals.  I have coated the seals and carb flanges with a light coat of silicone lube (sprayed onto a rag and wiped onto the parts), but I cannot push them into the seals.

What am I missing?

Thanks, Jeff

Keep on pushing after the clamps are as loose as possible.
It can take alot of effort

Great advise!  The heat gun did the trick.  Thanks.

Next dumb question - - There are 2 white plastic nipples and 4 aluminum nipples at the bottom of the carbs (not counting the fuel inlet nipple in the middle), what are you supposed to hook up to them?

Thanks, Jeff
