 I figured I would post some old shots of The Gimpster's 0¢ car from the past

This weekend we will back in the Legends business with a 40 chevy coupe instead of the old sedan we raced in the past
We raced Legends from 2002 up until our bad wreck in Mandan ND, last race in 2006, which ended in a broken sternum and 3 ribs.

Road trip to gather the chassis up this weekend

Paint, trip to the vynl shop then shoe horn in a motor and chassis set-up after we update this chassis

Want to get some seat time in this chassis. Won't make Motor Magic in Minot, looking more towards the Harvest Shoot-out in Dickinson. Until then, planning on running a few races at Dacotah Speedway in Mandan ND and possably Saulk Center in MN since they turned it to dirt.
Twistin out of here friday night and heading towards Chicago to pick up the chassis

Wasn't really going to get back in a Legend, but a few weeks ago a rookie got under my skin during a run in Underwood ND, while I was helping a car I sponsor. I just want to prove a point. So I might as well race Legends again.

The Harvest shoot out is the same weekend as motor magic, just to let ya know.  Sounds like ya got a littl ebit of work to do.  Hope to see ya out on the track soon and to see ya on this site.

Dickinson is where I grew up.
Sunday I told John Gall,  president of  Nodak Speedway (Minot) I would race there. I never knew they were doubled up.
I want to do Dickinson, They said the mini sprints were running it at around 14 seconds ?
Last time we ran Southwest Speedway, we turned little over 16 with my Legend
PDQ... nice track
I used to babysit that gray clay track back in the 90's and prep it for the races too.

That track is awesome.  It is probably my favorite.  Too bad we don't race there more.  It is also where my sponsor lives.

I'll see if I can put a wedge in for more races there.
Downfall was they offered a huge purse for a big show about 3 years ago and the car count nevered showed.
While climbing out of  my car from the feature, Frankie let me know how unhappy the board was with us and the low car count.
We had all just come off 3 days of racing at Motor Magic and there were a lot of torn up cars etc...
My mother called yesterday, she said they had one great Legends finish at Dickinson's  race this past weekend.

Yes.... 1948 Willy's Jeep color... Tropical Rosa

Wanda, Scott Bierle, and Rickster talked me into running the color again
We used to paint my street class cars blue and tropical rosa back in the '90's
in case you don't know them, Scott;s daughter races Mini Sprints
Rickster, I think you know. He hooked up with us when we raced Legends before. He was going to buy one then I went to the sprints. Rickster hooked up with Kevin Lucy from Flaxton and was racing one of his sprints, to race with us. Rick is from Minot and recently picked up a vinyl cutter. He is coming down to measure the coupe tomorrow and he is going to decal it for me. If you need lettering cheap, get ahold of him on my message board. Says he can do my car in checkers and stuff for under $100. The same here in Bismarck would cost me $400
 I may get him into Legends. He races asphalt modifieds back in Jersey a few times a year.
I have 3 more guys interested in Legends too since I am getting back into it.
