Good info on panhard bar

http://www.afcoracing.com/tech_pages/panhard.shtml

legends13:
good info, but the panhard bar on a legends car is fixed. The only adjustment is length, and that really is not an adjustment either. You want the left wheel tucked in to the 6" rule. Unless you are moving pickup points, there is no adjustment for our panhard bars.

DARK AGE 53:
Steve, thanks for the thread, too many members here don't post about anything.

Brad, what's the 6" rule.

Thanks,
Al

legends13:
Yeah, I didn't mean to sound un appreciative. The post was definitly a good find, just doesn't rerally apply to Legends.

The 6" rule is that there must be a minimum of 6" between the left rear brake backing plate and the frame, measured at the centerline of the housing. You want to be right up against this rule as the closer the wheel is to the frame, the more left side weight you have. usually I set mine to 6 1/16" to give me a slight bit for error and not get dq'd over something simple.

Legends 13, here is some more left weight for you, the rule is 6" between the inside edge of the "brake drum" to the frame rail directly below the center line of the rear end housing.
