HELP! Decibel level readings

Does anyone know, or have the ability to check, the decibel level of a 1200 with and without a muffler? I can't find anything on the internet...

Radio Shack sells a unit for $50.
Sorry, Don't have any figures for you or a way to test.

I was checked a few years ago in VA. It was about 100db with a muffler at about 5K rpms. The reading was taken right beside the car.
