transponders
« on: July 24, 2008, 09:21:27 pm »
Anyone on here using an AMB transponder? We are required to use them at some of our races. One of our race officials stated they were having trouble picking them up because of our mounting location. Where should they be mounted? Currently we all have them mounted below the panhard bar pickup on the right side of the frame. Any thoughts?

Thanx
 Geoff

I used one on my late model and never had any problems.  As long as it is pointed at the ground and their is nothing between it and the ground it should be fine.

Racecar spelled backwards is racecar. Racecar upside down is expensive.

We had to run them in VA on asphalt. They had us mount them on the down tube by the right rear shock.  It never failed as far as I know. I always had a time on the sheet and never heard of one failing. They had everyone mount them in the same place. Hope that helps

Thanks for the responses! Doesn't sound like we were doing anything wrong with them.
