tire pressure?
« on: May 22, 2008, 10:19:05 pm »
Not wanting any one to give secrets away but does any one have a good starting point for tire pressure on dirt. I'm at 12 lbs on the right and 6 lbs on the left. Does that sound about right? Thanks

Scott

I run 10 on the left side, 12 on the RF, and 9 on the RR, but it really all depends on your setup and track. My car hooks up great with 8 in the RR, but I cant keep the tire on!  ;D  I run a little high on the RF because no matter what I do, the car is overly loose, so the extra couple lbs helps develop a little push for me. Its really just a trial and error, theres alot of guys I run with that run 9 on the right, and 12 on the left, some that have different psi on all 4. Its all a crap shoot. You just need to play with the set-up...as I made obvious last week at the track! Got her back from the frame shop today...its straight again!

17 on left and 27 on right, I get very good tire temp with those numbers on a 3/8 banked very fast oval..
