Cluch and engine

(1/2) > >>

Bando 9:
I was wondering if on my bando the clutch should smoke for 5-10 min. I was starting the engine and there was nothing I could do to shut it off. The engine was stuck wide open! My dad had to pull the gas line to shut it off. the switches didn't work to turn it off. Why would the clutch smoke like that?  Is something wrong?  The throttle clip was fine... I don't know what happened, do you?

I need help

Obviously something causing the throttle to stick.
Make sure there are no kinks in the cable, and that it is lubricated.
Also, make sure the linkages are not sticking and properly lubricated.
Check the wiring and switches to be sure they are wired properly and operating properly.

Here is a link to a checklist:

You might also want to tear the clutch apart, and inspect the shoes, drum, etc... for any damage.

Sounds like the clutch is, well, Stuck!
Your going to have to pull it off, take it apart, and see where the problem lies.
Could be that the overheating of it could have done some damage.
Maybe Admin or Fastmantom can give you more insight.
Check it out and let us know.

Good Luck!
