Bandolero Body Panels
« on: February 24, 2021, 11:25:39 am »
Hello All,

I have been working on a bandolero that I got from an older friend for a while now and just recently got it fired up. The next thing I would like to move on to fixing would be the body panels. A few of them are cracked and have holes in them. If they were made up of fiberglass I think it would relatively easy to fix but I don't think they are. If anyone could tell me what there made of and how I would go about repairing them, that would be greatly appreciated.

Aaron

Hi Aaron,

There are both fiberglass and plastic pieces to the bodies on the Bando car. The fiberglass pieces should be relatively easy to repair using normal fiberglass repair techniques. I am not 100% on the plastic pieces, but perhaps using a plastic welder may do the trick for those parts. I've seen some pretty cheap plastic welders listed on ebay. That may be of help to you.
