I need information about the bulkhead connector
« on: May 03, 2020, 02:02:44 pm »
Does anyone have a source for replacement bulkhead connector? My tach signal is not making contact from the engine side to the dash. I don't want to buy a new wiring harness just a new connector or new pins for the connector. Thanks Steve

Have you tried the parts stores or automotive electrical places. You might also try eBay.

I have looked on ebay but without enough info to know what to search for I have not found anything.   For now I have the problem solved. I realized there are several spare connections. But in the future I would like to find replacement pins.

I found a description and part number if anyone is interested. The male side is TE CPC Connector 14 Pin 206044-1 and the female side is TE 206043-1. Those are just the housing the pins and sockets are seperate.

I?m having issues also. The person who rebuilt this car decided not to run the warning lights and flush cut them on the inside female side of the connector. I can not figure out how to get the pin out so I can put new wiring in. Any help would be great.

All kinds of pin removal tools out there. Here is a good selection on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/electrical-pin-removal-tool/s?k=electrical+pin+removal+tool
