transponder help

looking at a westhold hardwired transponder.was wondering if you can use any transponder at any track or if cretin tracks take different transponders.

FYI - Most asphalt tracks require the AMB TransX transponders and most dirt tracks require the orange Westhold transponders that Jim sells.
