Building up my rear end

I bought a crown wheel pinion and casing all separate that I'm building up, I have all the parts to do it, I've had a quick search on her for any advise, my main issue is the crush washer do I just tighten the nut to the correct torque?
Any tips or advise would be great and sorry if the questions been asked before
