Difference between sealed and unsealed

My wife and i are going to be purchasing a couple of legends for her and i to race. (I know usually this is an escape) however i am not 100% percent on the difference between sealed and unsealed is. Any information is useful. Thank you for your time reading this.

This is going to be very brief and to the point.

Sealed= There's a lock (seal) on your engine that prevents you from removing the heads to work on the internals of the engine. This means that if you need your engine rebuilt, you need to send it back to an authorized shop.

Unsealed= No lock you can tear apart your engine as much as you'd like without having to send it to a shop. BUT, you must still be in compliance with the rules and regulations of INEX.
