I'm not really sure what to tell you on this one.
Sometimes, different tracks allow variations in the INEX rules. Sometimes it's a club thing.
I know INEX put out a memo on the shifter (I believe in October). Also deals with the linkage.
I can run Hoosier tires in our club (SCCA Autocross).  ???

That would be illegal per inex. Any shifter other than stock must be at least the weight of the stock one or more, and be no taller than 15" from the driveshaft tunnel. if you're looking for aftermarket shifters check out www.gomotorsportsshop.com and their online store. There are two different style inex legal aftermarket shifters. One tall and on medium sized. made from 304 stainless steel. We've used them in our cars since the rule was updated and they have been approved by Scott at Inex. They also come with all the needed mounting hardware.
