how old a chassis is

recently purchased a 40 bubble top couple car and know its a older chassis just wondering if u can tell by the vin # how old it actually is?

My chassis has a date stamped into the B pillar on the passenger side. Maybe check there first.

From what I understand, the higher the number, the newer the chassis. You may need to contact INEX to get the information you are seeking. They should be able to give you the date the chassis was manufactured, sold, previous owners, etc...
