Clutch assembly documentation and torque specs
« on: March 21, 2014, 06:26:54 pm »
Does anyone have a pdf or anything depicting how the clutch basket is disassembled and removed from the car? I got the nut off, but the fly wheel hits the housing and cannot be pulled out.
Also, the torque specs to reassemble it?

Buy the manual for the enigine/bike. Will save you a lot of headaches on R&D.

Pull the needle bearing and spacer from the center of the basket.  It allows enough offset to clear primary drive gear and oil pump gear.....

Thanks, we'll give that a shot.

Found a good deal on the Haynes manual, so looks like I'll be ordering one of those.

;) I buy a manual for every engine/ car that I own. They can be invaluable when you need to troubleshoot or need info for teardowns and rebuilds.
Good luck this season! I hope to see a lot of progress from last year.
