What top end cooler do you use?

(1/2) > >>

Bigmil:
I'm looking at getting a top end oil cooler for my car this year but I'm not sure which ones fit our application best?
I ordered a Derale 13252 but when I got it I realized it was WAY to big (or so I think).
I currently run the Fluidyne 2 pass oil cooler and a scoop setup for my main oil cooling.
If ya can please let me know model numbers of what you use and how happy you are with it!

Thanks!
Gerad

Hi Gerad,

I know Jim (VMSmotorsports) has a top end oiler kit. Hopefully he can answer your questions.

VMS Motorsports:
I'm not getting involved in the newly created top end oil cooler fad. In my opinion, it is just a way to grab another few hundred dollars from the already cash strapped racer.
USLC has been using these engines for 23 years, and now, all of a sudden, a huge need for a top end oiler kit? I don't buy it.

People are just putting another brick wall, I mean oil cooler, in front of the air cooled engine, blocking even more air to it.
I know Dennis, Hank, and probably others stock and sell these systems, I choose not to.
I try to focus my business on keeping the racer on the track.

knoxracing:
the new fluidyne tube style cooler does Not mount in front of the oil cooler. we mount them below or under the fluidyne cooler. these two coolers com, bined are the BEST system on the market period. No fans needed. the tubular top end cooler can be used with any ccoler, it is less restrictive for better flow and does a great job of cooling. the cooler is under $100.00

Bigmil:
Dennis, how does it mount below the oil cooler?
