I intend on giving away 1/3 of my space on the car to a charity eg. Boy Scouts, Canadian Mental Health Asossiation, Breast Cancer, Crime Stopers, your local volenteer fire fighters. There are so many others, so take your pick find one that has touched you personaly ,helped a loved one, somthing like that. I am leaning towards the Mental Health Assocation because of the work they do to help our solders with the things they had to see and do for all of us, there are lots of great causes to get behind and the plus side is that there are lots of companys that want to be seen as a caring company they want there name up there beside a good cause, you still have 2/3 of you car left to sell ,my rule is that half the sponsers money goes streight to the charity thats 50% charitable donation 50% advertizeing  this sells itself to the right company. I have seen this work with drag racing in the past and you get to feel great about helping a good cause. The experiance I had was with the Boy Scouts and man did we have one loud cheering section everywhere we went ,most of the strips we were at would give seats to the local Boy Scouts we helped send many kids to camp and bought tons of canoes for them. The tracks and racing facilitys also love a good cause I have had some horrible days at the track that should not have had any where neer the amount of PA attention that we and our sponsers got ,helping others can be the best way to help yourself and its good for your soul. Give it a try .

Racecar spelled backwards is racecar. Racecar upside down is expensive.

Very good idea Chris!

Great idea Chris, I think I'll do that too next year.  I'm not so worried about getting a sponsor out of it, just like the civic minded part of it.  So what car are you running right now at Cap City?

PS.  Come by my pit, let's talk about this idea.

Mike

If it isn't fun, why are you doing it?

I'm sure the subject of sponsorships will be on everyones mind soon.
Found this article. Might be helpful for some.
