Known cheating tricks
« on: October 02, 2013, 08:12:01 pm »
As the title shows, who out there has cheating or sneaky tricks that they have seen or possibly have heard to gain that edge over the rest.
We are only new in the class here in Australia and a very novice bunch of techo guys here are finding all sort of reasons to try keep the class in check and see competitive racing.
so far we have seen,
-tyres soaked in clothes wash powder, or treated in tyre softners, with AR dirt tyres reading as low as 17 on durometer
-mufflers gutted out to try limit back pressure
-chassis cross brace at front near diff uni chopped out to get more travel in rear end
-elctronic brake isolation for RF
-stroked motors, modified cranks and rods

We are not looking to get cheats to use ourselves, but more looking to catch up with others for things to look out for

last season a car was running midget style 8" with helper springs up front. there was a car also that had adjustable pan hard bar mount at the chassis end.
I know most will not give up their own little tricks they have be it legal or not.
This is just a way for us ozzy guys to try keep this class competitive for all and try grow it. So far we have over 60 cars in one state racing at two tracks so hopefully we can get stronger
