Help setting toe
«

So I have a 12 in rod on the right side and a 11in rod on the left and I am toe out. This is how it was last year but I could set the to the way I wonted to. Now that I put the car back together I can not git the toe right. I did what the last post said to do and made sure ever thing was straight before I hooked every thing up and still toed out. Should I have 2 11 in rods and if so why did it work before? Any help would be great
Thanks Cody

Also I did change the heim joints so I could have done some thing wrong but I do not think so.

I would start with making sure the rack is centered and switching the 12" rod to an 11" and recheck/adjust

When you say make are the rack is centered do you mean turn the steering shaft lock to lock and put is in the middle and the hook up the tie rod then I did that. I thought about putting two 11 in rods on but do you know why the 12 in rod does not work now?
Thanks cody

Speculation, but maybe the rack was not centered last year?

also, if you changed the length of the lower a-arm (either via the ball joint or the heim that meets the frame) then that would affect toe. If you shortened the a-arm, the 12" rod may be to long to adjust "in" enough.
