What would make the exhaust pipes turn white on the insides?

Thanks,
Robert

I'm with Jim on this one. Sooty abd black is usually a rich condition or oil leaking past the rings.

What fuel?

Race gas is always white unless excessively rich.

I am not sure what 110 crate fuel is but it must a racing gas. That fuel will leave the headers white inside. If the fuel is leaded then you probably need to evaluate jetting as the leaded fuel is more stable and has a slower flame front which is not optimum for a high rpm engine with low compression. You might be too rich and costing yourself horsepower and making more engine heat.

Thanks and yes it is a racing fuel lead added. The motor seemed run cooler. my friend ran it also and he said his was running cooler also. Both drivers felt that there was more "gitty-up" in their motors running it. When I saw the whiteness inside the pipes the first thing I thought was excessive heat, but then remebered that oil temp gages showed they were running cooler. Not sure yet what fuel they run at the track were are at this season.
Thanks,

Robert
