Legend VIN
« on: November 03, 2012, 10:45:12 pm »
Is there anyway to tell the manufacturing date of a car by the VIN if the title can not be found?
Thanks

I believe that you could contact Lisa at USLCI. She should be able to locate the needed info for you.

the newer one's have a stamp inside the right door with the born on date. When you open the door look at the back of the jam or B pillar area.

Thanks for the info. I have found a guy that has been place in charge of an estate sale that has a nice legend car  with a vin but unsure of where title has been placed. The executor advised me that he was a friend of the family and the car was only a year old. I am new to this kind of racing and didn't want to get a car that couldn't be title to me. You guys have been very helpful.

CALL LISA. If the car is only a few years old, or title has been misplaced, she is the one that can help you.
You can even call her before you purchase the car to make sure everything is cool.

New plate welded on??  Mine has pop rivets.  They are aluminum, kinda hard to weld aluminum to steel.
