Part number for the Diode in the bando motor

 I had the part number at one time , now I can't find it.
Anyone help?

Briggs & Stratton     844547,     are you going to be at the track  for Saturday's race, if so bring the motor and I will help you install it.. If not I have 1 you can have if you can't get it before next Wednesday's race .

 Wally, thanks for the part  number . I'll stop and get one on the way home tonight. I'm going to bring the spare motor on saturday just in case.

What do the diodes do actually?  What are some of the reasons for changing them
