Here ya go Jim,

Per the new rule book:
The minimum weight of a federal tire and standard wheel must be at least 31.0 pounds. The minimum weight of an aero or bassett (inex stamped and stickered only) wheel and tire must be at least 28.0 pounds.

Hope this helps
Brandon

So there is no mention of  a standard wheel and American Racer tire?
They should just stop sanctioning dirt races altogether if this is the type of attention the dirt racers get.
We got the new tire prior to the 2011 season, and they still can't even be bothered to address it.
That is ridiculous

Still no rule book packet. Guess I get to go racing tomorrow without all their stickers all over my car  :D

From John Haggan:
Everyone should receive their membership package sometime this week or Monday.  They have all been shipped out at this point.  I will have to defer to scott on the wheel tire rule as I don’t know it right off the top of my head.  He isn’t in today but I will forward this email to him so that he can respond to it.

Allright!
75 days after the start of the INEX points season, they have sent the rulebooks out!
And apparently they completely forgot about the American Racer tires for the red-headed step children...unless you buy the new lightweight USLC only wheels!

Oh well, some things never change.
I'll be racing tomorrow night either way, with rules or without 'em

They do make mention of AR tires.

The tires must be sets of 4 inex marked ferderal tires or uslci marked dirt tires as delivered by u.s. legend cars international.

then later they make mention
American Racer dirt tires as delivered by uslci are permitted for use on dirt surfaces only.

That was everything I could find on AR tires.

Jim,

Do what I did. If you can't beat them join them. Go to asphalt and then you will show them....... ;)

Per Scott Reinhardt this morning:
The minimum wheel & tire combination weight using the "old style" wheels & the American Racer tire is 28lbs. (it would be 23lbs. using the new "light" INEX stamped & stickered wheels with the American Racer wheels).

Got mine today too....Read thru it, looks like Jim is correct.  They forgot to include some sort of wheel weight rule with the AR dirt tires.   Oh well, on we go.... ;D

Understand that your upset Jim.
I think it's more of a promoter trying to draw a crowd and allowing this guy to drive.
Sounds like a similar situation to last year.

Well,

My 2012 rulebook arrived today and while I am thrilled RPM is on top, I am a little disappointed the top of the photo was cut off. But hey, the top two cars on the cover are RPM powered, set-up & maintained cars.

Oh well, the promotion of the "international" portion of this series is obvious by the cover...

I see they posted the 2012 rulebook on the site finally.
There wasn't a lot of info on the tires and wheels for the dirt guys.

Congratulations on getting your pic on the cover Randy!
GO RPM!!!!
