Federal Run Flat Tires - USLCI Site
« on: February 13, 2012, 07:00:42 am »
What is the story on the Federal run flat tires that USLCI has posted on their site? Is USLCI making them available and if so how will the stiffer sidewalls impact the set up?

I would guess it's just part of their marketing agreement with Federal, couldn't see them running a "run flat" tire on a race car...but they have done some "different" things lately

I emailed Scott Reinhart to see if I could try out asphalt this year with my American Racers before buying a set of Federals...awaiting his response

As usual, Scott was very quick with his response to tech questions...seems like he is the only one on the ball there sometimes.
Can't run my AR's on asphalt...bet they would have been fast

You think the American Racer Dirt tire would hold up on asphalt? Being a softer tire, I would think that they would burn up to quickly?

I'm sure they wouldn't last more than a night, but it would be a great night  ;D
