What kind of modifications are you looking at doing?  I have factory type brackets if you want to cut the stock one off and move it.

Trying to remove some of the play out of the steering. Seen some mods on the internet before but can't find them now. One I saw had a second heim to steady the column. Just want to see some options.

Sounds like your plastic bushings are worn out.

Give Chris at FRE a call. He has a steering shaft made up that uses splined "Sweet" style u-joint and the are really nice.

This design will allow you to just change the joint when it wears out by removing a couple of set screws.

Just make sure they are block and pin u-joints, needle bearing u-joints are illegal in the INEX rulebook.
I can make you any steering shafts you want, just let me know the length you desire for the upper shaft, and any other specifics.

I don't know, you will need to call him. I bought one 4-5 years ago, so I am sure the price has changed.

Jim, that is incorrect. I have cut this from the 2011 online rulebook, Page 56, #69:

Shafts -Tubing used for steering shafts must be stock as currently delivered by U.S. Legend Cars International and may not be reinforced in any way. Upgraded steering joints are acceptable.

Thanks Randy. That must have changed last year, I didn't even check.
I know in 2010 it was the case, otherwise I would haveused them.
Thanks for proving me wrong  ;)
Guess I'll be building new steering shafts for my cars
