Solid night. Won my heat race. Started 2nd in the feature, led the first 19 laps. Ethan got me in turn 3 as I caught 4-5 cars racing. Ethan went high, I took the middle and he found a hole through the traffic.

1 - 2 finish for the 54 and 87 cars tonight

Well, I somehow managed 13th, guess everybody didn't pass me as I was coasting along the outside wall.
I'd rather do a clutch than fix a wreck.

They each won their Heat race, and took the top 2 honors in the 23 car A main, with Ethan getting the win.

well...i was having a decent run and got into some oil/water and slid up into a tire barrier which flipped me onto my roof.  Not the way we wanted to bring the new car home in only its 4th race, and i found out quick that being on the roof isn't any fun.  We'll be back in action hopefully next week though.

I'm good, just a bit sore, the chassis seems good it might need a clip but we're not sure yet.  The body has seen better days but that can be fixed and there is some front suspension damage.  No where near what it could have been though and i am thankful all the safety gear did its job and the car held up.

Finished 2nd in my heat. I had my uncle check my engine temp with a digital temp gauge before I went over the scales. The track didn't like that I did that so I had to start dead last in the feature. 19 cars 

It was a tough track to pass on. The top and bottom worked equally in turns 1 and 2. But in 3 and 4 you really had to be in the low lane to make up time. In the 20 laps I managed to fight up front to finish 4th.

It's early to start thinking about points but I've already given up 5 at Beaver Dam. First night I finished 5th in the heat (1 point). I thought I finished 6th so I didn't scale. And then tonight. Hope it doesn't bite me in the end.

Won my first heat race...FINALLY.
Started on the pole for the main, but fell back to 3rd, and on each restart ended up lined up on the outside...inside was the place to be. Dropped back to 8th, made it back up to 7th, crossed the line at the same time as 6th, but he got the position.

Finally, the heat race monkey is off my back, and I had a good night 

Can't wait for the Friday-Saturday-Sunday next weekend

My first dirt race in over a year and never driven with the new AR dirt tire.  Have been fighting ignition problems on our 34 Ford Sedan for over a year and they showed up in heat race again even after installing  brand new red box and spark plugs.  Couldn't even take the green and watched the heat race from the infield.  Finally unplugged tach and engine ran fine.....yeah!  Sorry DJ, but I actually started last in the feature behind you and worked my way up to a 9th place finish.  Made my goal of a top ten finish and think we finally got over our ignition problems.  BTW - Good job Jim on your first heat win!
