FUEL TANK LET GO
« on: July 10, 2011, 08:04:59 am »
Heres a strange one, do the fuel tanks on a legend car suddenley let go.  Cars been used regular, no shunts to fuel cell or damage, left the car in the garage and came back a few days later to an empty tank and petrol covered trailer.

Any ideas, its the black tank and as far as i know all hoses are connected and not leaking.

I've not heard that one either.
Randy, Dennis, Tim???
Only thing I can think of is perhaps heat build up sitting in the trailer causing fuel to puke out the vent. ??? Just guessing!

I have never heard of this issue either, I would be interested in knowing a little more info once the tank is pulled, thanks.

There aren't any cracks in the bottom of the tank that you might have missed?  Or maybe a cut in a line somewhere?

Hi guys, the rubber washer on the bottom of the fuel sight gauge had split, no warning of slight leaks just went! Not touched it myself but maybe over tightened by previous owner??

I take it this is an add on site gauge. This would not be legal in the US under USLC rules.
