remote oil filter adapter

i am changing from the ( i think it is called ) a texas oil filter to a remote oil filter. my car is not at my house so i was hoping some on could tell me how the red hocky puck adapter goes on the back of the engine. what part threads on to what. do i need any thing to put it on the engine. thanks cody

no what i need to know is does the adapter bolt to the engine or does the male thread on the inside thread to the engine.thanks cody

Yes, the center fitting threads into the motor, if you are using a used puck or one that has sat for a while, change the orings. You can buy them from alot of places, like a bearing supplier.

thank that how i thought it worked. i did get new orings but 3 of them came from hank scott. i know the big one goes on the big outer ring and the one on the center fitting but were does the third one go. thanks cody
