shipping car?
« on: September 02, 2011, 09:16:52 pm »
We have some guys looking to buy cars for next year,  and they are looking on the internet, but we are a bit out of the way for a lot of these cars to pick them up.  Anyone ever have a car shipped?   If so what is a ballpark cost, and who might do something, like that?

I live in Wisconsin and looked at buying a car in Texas.  Shipping would have added $800-1000 to the price of the car.  I ended up purchasing a car in North Carolina , drove down myself to pick it up with a small open trailer and it cost me about $500 in fuel.   I hate to say, but there really is no cheap way to purchase a car from a long distance unless you know someone with a semi that is headed in the same area to deliver a load and come back your way.

Good luck! ;D
