mounting lead
« on: January 23, 2011, 12:24:30 pm »
We're new to Legends cars and are needing to mount lead(about 70#). Can I safely drill the lower frame rail on the left side? The car came with 2 holes pre-drilled  on left side frame rail but I'd really like to hang another weight there as well.(further back) We're really stumped as to where we're going to put all this weight. With the largest allowable weight being 1.5x2.5x12, we'll have to bolt on 4 this size to make weight. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim

The rule book lays it out pretty specific and make sure you paint them white.

Or eat more pizza and burgers!  ;D
Just kidding... I'm a pretty light weight myself.
Both Jim and Scott give good advice.
